A smartly turned out carriage horse is depicted in this stunning brass bridle rosette that dates between 1890 and 1910. These were traditional decorations on bridles for driving horses, and they also served as a functional way to hold the headstall together. These became quite vogue during the Victorian Era and are quite scarce today.
Repurposed into a lovely necklace using doubled pleated and smooth leather cord with a lobster claw clasp. 20" leather cord, rosette measures 1.5" round.
